A grand jury from South Texas has indicted Vice President Dick Cheney and former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. The charges are related to alleged abuse of prisoners in Willacy County’s federal detention centers. Cheney reportedly has an investment in the Vanguard Group, which has an interest in private prison companies that run federal detention centers.
Gonzales is accused of improperly using his position to stop an investigation into alleged abuses at the federal detention centers.
