The United States Supreme Court today turned down an emergency appeal which raised concerns over President-elect Barack Obama’s eligibility to serve. A New Jersey man claims Obama is unable to be President because he is not a natural born citizen.
State officials in Hawaii have gone on record stating Obama was born there in 1961.
The Court declined to comment on its decision not to hear the case. Its decision clears the way for Obama to take office on January 20th.
