A 29-year-old Virginia man, Erick Williamson, was charged with indecent exposure for walking around naked inside his own home. Neighbors claimed that Williamson made a point of parading himself in front of a picture window and doorway, while making noises to draw attention to his naked body.
Williamson’s attorney claimed that the prosecutors failed to prove the law’s requirements that there was “an obscene display or exposure” occuring in “a public place or a place where others are present.” Although he was not given a fine or jail time, Williamson plans to appeal. He also contends that he’s a victim of a double standard, claiming he would have been treated diffferently if he had been the one outside looking into a woman’s home.
